Thank you Payson

We arrived in Payson on Friday afternoon, four days early. We were a wee bit frustrated with life on the tour, and not excited to be still for 4 days.  Payson was supposed to be a 15 hour stop-over, not a four night stay.

We set up camp on a hot field outside the local middle school, and our only showers are hoses hooked up outside.  Fun? Fun.

Payson has been beautiful, welcoming, and a ton of fun.  E slower days have allowed for some great group fun, and we are getting to know each other quite well.

We found a movie theatre...

We found a fantastic coffee shop with wifi and character...

We had a fantastic reception at the local Lutheran church...

And the scenery. Oh the scenery...

Tomorrow the tour resumes on Day 9: Payson to Heber.  By the end of the week we will be in New Mexico, and I'm excited that the tour has organized tours of historical aboriginal sites, and arranged for interaction with the CRC work in Rehoboth.

The weather is much better, less than 100 F in the heat of the day.

  1. Boy, the Quote from Owen Meany is looking a lot more applicable today, eh? Julie and I thought you'd be "disappointed" (we used a different word) about the decision not to ride through the heat, but, what can you do? You're a sheep. Glad to hear you're back on your bike. Viya con Dios, mi hermana.
